UX Report

I worked on a report evaluating the Santa Barbara Botanic Garden website which, funnily enough, has vastly improved since I completed the report in the spring of 2021. The original website appeared old-fashioned and needed updating, despite the current and up-to-date content displayed on it.

In this User Experience (UX) report, you will find various methods I utilized for research in order to grasp an understanding of how the website could be improved. These methods included surveys, interviews, competitor analyses, personas, card sorting, heuristic evaluation, A/B testing, first click testing, and usability testing. This process helped me to view the strengths of the website’s design and how it could be better organized in order to gain visibility and heighten the user experience.

Throughout my classes, I examined various social media pages and platforms to gain an understanding of how each one operates and to observe the level of engagement for each one. One of my final projects involved creating my own web series and, through this, I need to create a brand.

This report reflects the branding and social media strategy that I created for the project. I became more aware of how my social media and brand could be improved by completing audits, addressing goals, outlining content, and creating a detailed action plan. I rebranded my pages to have a consistent theme that embodies my bright persona and hope for the future.
