Film Development
I have had the fortunate opportunity to explore film development through my experiences and internships.
My strengths are in script coverage, where I excel in reading and analyzing scripts for companies. Please read the companies I have worked for below and, if interested, request a sample of coverage.
Franklin Entertainment – Development Intern
At Franklin Entertainment, I created and provided literary, film script, and project pitch coverage throughout my time as an intern. I was commended by my supervisors for my writing abilities and became a reliable intern for determining the potential of various novels and scripts.
The opportunity to intern at Franklin Entertainment strengthened my skills in time management, organization, detail orientation, and more. I learned about the various requirements of being an assistant to a producer and gained valuable tips for future positions in a development office setting.
Don Kee Productions – General Intern
At Don Kee Productions, I composed script coverage daily to examine the potential of feature-length screenplays. I also created look books, sizzle reels, and other creative projects to reflect the themes, characters, plots, and more within screenplays that I read. These helped to determine if the company would be interested in the projects by looking at visuals rather than analysis.
Interning at Don Kee Productions strengthened my skills in timeliness, analysis, social media, content creation, and more. I learned about the structure of production companies and spoke with professionals in the industry about the challenges and benefits of pursuing a career in film development. The opportunities I received at this internship were memorable and heightened my interest in film production even further.
